• Fun Group Activity  (you may want to try this)

Divide students into small groups. Using what they have learned about the three main somatotypes. Their task will be to determine the somatotype of each member of their group. They can also state whether a group member has characteristics of more than one somatotype, for example, "John has some characteristics of an endomorph and some characteristics of a mesomorph". Students will then present their findings to the class and explain their reasons for classifying each group member as an ectomorph, mesomorph, endomorph or someone with characteristics of more than one somatotype.

• Possible assignment or class activity

Students will be asked to visit http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/becker3.htm   and take the test which will determine their somatotype score and read the explanation of the result. Students will be required to give a brief description of their body type and list two sports that their body type is well suited for.
